“Welcoming Everyone, Growing In Faith Together”
We are a friendly and welcoming congregation which seeks to practice hospitality and inclusivity in our worship and weekly activities.
As Christians we seek to follow the example of Jesus who lived a life of radical love. As Methodists we are inspired by our founders, particularly John Wesley (1703-91), who visited Stroud many times.
Wesley was committed to the Christian Gospel and was also motivated to work to make the world a better place – campaigning on issues such as education, prison reform and the abolition of the 18th century trade in enslaved Africans.
As Methodists now, we try to emulate this by:
- Meeting together weekly for Sunday worship (see the Regular Services page). We offer a range of services, from traditional to contemporary, have a look and see which one you might like to try!
- Hosting organisations eg the Marah Trust, supporting vulnerable and marginalised people in the Stroud area
- Being a safe space for all ages
- Being an Eco Church (we have a Silver award)
- Organising regular activities like weekly prayers, Christian Conversation, Friday Fellowship, Craft and Chat, Saturday Social and a popular toddler group (123 Toddlers)
- Running community events like Carols in the Car Park, plant sales and being involved in townwide initiatives such as Goodwill
We celebrate being part of the Trinity Ecumenical Partnership and Stroud Churches Together.
We are part of the Gloucestershire Methodist Circuit and the Bristol Methodist District.
